Watch restoration workshop

Our Story

Palladium began in 2014 when a small group of experienced watchmakers decided to open a workshop focused on thoughtful restoration. We noticed that many watch owners in Taipei were looking for someone who would take the time to understand their timepiece's history and treat it with proper respect.

Our workshop is located in the Da'an District, where we have built relationships with collectors, enthusiasts, and individuals who simply want their watches to run well. Over the years, we have worked on timepieces from various manufacturers, learning the particular needs of each movement and case design.

We approach each project with patience. Whether it's a dial that needs gentle cleaning or a movement requiring complete disassembly, we take the necessary time to do the work properly. Our goal is to return your watch in better condition than when it arrived, with its character intact.

The name Palladium reflects our appreciation for materials that combine durability with subtle beauty. In watchmaking, palladium is valued for its resistance to tarnish and its pleasant weight. We hope our work reflects these same qualities—enduring craftsmanship presented with understated care.

Our Approach to Quality

Proper Equipment

We maintain professional-grade tools and testing equipment to ensure precise work. Our workshop is equipped for movements from vintage hand-wound calibers to contemporary automatic modules.

Detailed Inspection

Each watch receives a thorough examination before work begins. We document the initial condition and identify any areas requiring attention beyond the requested service.

Timing Standards

After servicing, we test timekeeping performance across multiple positions. The watch is regulated to meet appropriate accuracy standards for its movement type and age.

Careful Handling

Your timepiece is stored securely in our workshop throughout the restoration process. We maintain insurance coverage and detailed documentation for every watch in our care.

Service Documentation

We photograph significant steps during restoration and provide a service report upon completion. This documentation can be valuable for future reference or resale purposes.

Clear Communication

If we discover additional issues during disassembly, we contact you before proceeding with extra work. You receive updates throughout the restoration process.

Our Values

We believe in treating each timepiece with the respect it deserves. Whether your watch is a family heirloom or a recent acquisition, we approach the work with the same level of care. Our role is to preserve what makes your watch meaningful to you while addressing any technical issues that affect its performance.

Transparency matters to us. We provide honest assessments of what a watch needs and what results you can expect. If a particular repair would be too costly relative to the watch's value, we tell you. If original parts are unavailable, we discuss suitable alternatives. Our recommendations are based on what serves the watch and its owner best.

Watchmaking is a skill that requires ongoing learning. As movements become more complex and restoration techniques evolve, we continue to expand our knowledge. Our team attends professional training sessions and stays current with developments in the field. This commitment to learning helps us serve both vintage and contemporary timepieces effectively.

We appreciate the trust involved when someone leaves their watch with us. Many of our clients have been with us for years, returning for subsequent services and referring others to our workshop. These relationships remind us that our work extends beyond technical competence to include reliability, discretion, and genuine care for the objects entrusted to us.
