  • "You," "Your," "Client" refers to the individual or entity engaging our services.
  • "Services" refers to watch restoration, servicing, and related horological work provided by Palladium.
  • "Timepiece" refers to any watch or clock entrusted to us for service.
  • "Agreement" refers to these Terms and Conditions along with any service proposal or invoice.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By engaging our services or using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services.

You must be at least 18 years of age to enter into this agreement. If you are under 18, you may only use our services with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.

3. Service Description

Palladium provides professional watch restoration and servicing services, including dial restoration, movement servicing, automatic module repair, case refinishing, and comprehensive restoration packages. The specific services provided will be outlined in the service proposal you receive after initial assessment.

We reserve the right to refuse service if we determine that a timepiece requires work beyond our capabilities or if accepting the work would pose unreasonable risk.

4. Service Process

4.1 Initial Assessment

When you bring a timepiece to us, we conduct an initial assessment to determine the required work. This assessment is provided at no charge. Based on our findings, we provide a detailed service proposal including the scope of work, estimated timeline, and pricing.

4.2 Service Authorization

Work begins only after you have reviewed and approved the service proposal. Your approval may be provided in person, via email, or through other documented means. Once authorized, the service is considered binding.

4.3 Additional Work

If we discover additional issues during disassembly that were not apparent during initial assessment, we will contact you before proceeding with extra work. We will not perform work beyond the approved scope without your explicit authorization, except in cases where immediate action is necessary to prevent further damage to your timepiece.

4.4 Service Timeline

The estimated completion timeline provided in the service proposal is our best estimate based on normal circumstances. Delays may occur due to parts availability, discovery of additional issues, or other factors beyond our control. We will keep you informed of any significant delays.

5. Client Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate information about the timepiece's history, condition, and any previous repairs.
  • Disclose any known issues or concerns about the timepiece.
  • Respond promptly to requests for authorization or information during the service process.
  • Collect your timepiece within 30 days of notification that service is complete.
  • Make payment in full before taking possession of your serviced timepiece.

6. Pricing and Payment

Service pricing is provided in New Taiwan Dollars (NT$) and is valid for 30 days from the date of the service proposal. Prices may be adjusted if additional work is required beyond the original scope.

Payment is due upon completion of service before the timepiece is returned to you. We accept cash, bank transfer, and major credit cards. A deposit may be required for services involving significant parts costs.

If you fail to collect your timepiece within 30 days of completion notification, we reserve the right to charge a storage fee of NT$200 per week.

7. Parts and Materials

We source replacement parts from reputable suppliers and strive to use original or appropriate aftermarket components. For vintage timepieces, original parts may not be available. In such cases, we will discuss alternatives with you before proceeding.

Parts removed during service become our property unless you specifically request their return before work begins. We do not guarantee the availability of specific parts and reserve the right to suggest alternative solutions if parts cannot be obtained.

8. Service Warranty

We provide a 12-month warranty on our workmanship from the date of service completion. This warranty covers defects in our work but does not cover damage from accidents, misuse, unauthorized repairs by others, or normal wear and tear.

The warranty does not cover the timepiece itself or parts not replaced during service. If you experience issues covered by the warranty, contact us promptly to arrange re-service at no charge.

9. Limitation of Liability

While we exercise appropriate care in handling your timepiece, watch restoration involves inherent risks. We maintain insurance for timepieces in our care, but our liability is limited to the lesser of the timepiece's documented value or NT$500,000.

We are not liable for pre-existing damage that becomes apparent during disassembly, loss of value due to necessary repairs, delays beyond our reasonable control, or consequential damages such as lost income or sentimental value.

You acknowledge that restoration work may affect the collectible value of vintage timepieces and accept this risk by authorizing service.

10. Uncollected Timepieces

If you fail to collect your timepiece within 90 days of completion notification and payment, and we are unable to contact you, we reserve the right to dispose of the timepiece according to Taiwan law after providing written notice to your last known address.

13. Disclaimers

Our services are provided "as is" without warranties beyond those explicitly stated. We do not guarantee specific timing accuracy results, as performance depends on many factors including the age and condition of the movement.
